 The role of recruiting is to find candidates to fill open positions in your company. This includes posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making offers. The goal of recruiting is to find the best possible candidates for the job.

 One advantage of having a good recruiting process is that it can help reduce employee turnover. Employee turnover can be expensive and disruptive for businesses. A good recruiting process can help you find qualified employees who are a good fit for your company's culture and values.

 Why do you need both?

 While human resources and recruiting may seem like two sides of the same coin, they actually serve two very different functions. Human resources are responsible for existing staff while recruiters are responsible for finding new employees. 

 Many businesses, even large ones, believe that a single individual or team can complete both activities simultaneously, but they are separate processes and should be treated as such.

 Putting both functions on one person may be detrimental to your business. If an HR manager is busy checking for applications, they won't have as much time to concentrate on current staff. If a recruiter is attempting to deal with employee evaluations, they will be distracted from locating the ideal candidates for open positions. To be successful, companies need both roles.
